- M3 Ultra Upgraded Model: Starts at $3,999 with a 32-core CPU (24 high-speed cores), 60-80 GPU cores, 96GB RAM (upgradable to 512GB), and 1TB–16TB storage.
Performance Claims:
- Apple says the M4 Max is 3.5x faster than the older M1 Max.
- The M3 Ultra boasts 50% more performance cores than past Ultra chips, with a 32-core Neural Engine for AI tasks.
New GPU Features:
- Dynamic caching (faster data access) and ray tracing for better gaming/design.
- First-time hardware-accelerated mesh shading for smoother graphics.
Ports & Design:
- Same compact design with front USB-C/SD card slots and rear ports (USB-C/A, Ethernet, audio).
- Thunderbolt 5 on all six USB-C ports only in the M3 Ultra; M4 Max has it on four rear ports.
