**Xiaomi Redmi A5 4G: Unofficial Release, Specs, and European Launch Plans**

The Xiaomi Redmi A5 4G is in an unusual situation. While it hasn’t been officially announced yet, the device is already available for purchase in stores across Bangladesh. There’s no confirmation on whether Xiaomi plans to formally unveil it, but reports suggest that the phone is gearing up for a European release. It may launch under the Poco C71 branding, though the hardware appears to remain unchanged.

Key specifications of the device include a 6.88-inch LCD panel with a 120Hz refresh rate, 720p+ resolution, and a peak brightness of 1,500 nits. Powering the phone is a Unisoc T7250 chipset, paired with LPDDR4X RAM and eMMC 5.1 storage. In Bangladesh, the Redmi A5 4G is available in two variants: 4GB RAM with 64GB storage, priced at BDT 11,000, and 6GB RAM with 128GB storage, priced at BDT 13,000.

The camera setup consists of a 32MP primary sensor and an 8MP front-facing camera. The device is equipped with a 5,200mAh battery, supporting 18W fast charging. Additional features include a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, Bluetooth 5.2, a USB Type-C port, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and a microSD card slot for storage expansion. The phone has a compact build, measuring 171.7 x 77.8 x 8.26mm and weighing 193g. Out of the box, it runs on Android 15 Go Edition.

For the European market, there are rumors of a different storage configuration—4GB RAM with 128GB storage, expected to be priced at €149. However, it's unclear whether a charger will be included in the box. The units sold in Bangladesh appear to come with a 15W charger.
