Vivo X200 Ultra to Feature Dedicated Camera Button and Major Camera Upgrades

Vivo X200 Ultra to Feature Dedicated Camera Button and Major Camera Upgrades

Vivo’s upcoming flagship, the X200 Ultra, will introduce a dedicated camera control button on the right side of the frame, replacing earlier speculations of an Action Button.

The confirmation comes from Vivo Product Manager Han Boxiao via Weibo, where he compared the X200 Ultra to the iPhone 16 Pro Max, highlighting that both phones feature a camera button positioned on the lower right side. Unlike Apple’s approach, Vivo’s camera button is designed specifically for capturing photos and adjusting camera parameters.

The button features a blue accent and, according to Boxiao, has a long sliding stroke, though it's unclear whether it includes swipe functionality. Additionally, the leaked image reveals that the X200 Ultra has a flat frame with a brushed finish and appears slimmer than the iPhone 16 Pro Max.

Camera & Imaging Upgrades The Vivo X200 Ultra is set to launch in April, arriving earlier than its predecessor, which debuted in June. While the phone downgrades the main camera from a 1-inch sensor to a 1/1.28-inch Sony Lytia LYT-818 sensor (the same as the X200 Pro), it makes a significant upgrade by equipping the ultrawide camera with the same LYT-818 sensor—making it the largest ultrawide sensor in any smartphone to date.

The third camera will maintain an 85mm zoom lens featuring the 1/1.4-inch Samsung HP9 sensor. To enhance imaging, Vivo is integrating two dedicated imaging chips: Vivo V3+ for post-processing VS1 chip for pre-processing, managing exposure, focus, colors, and image stacking

With these improvements, the X200 Ultra aims to push smartphone photography to new heights, offering advanced controls and superior camera hardware.
