OnePlus Ace 5V or Ace 5S: the successor to the Ace 3V

OnePlus is developing a new upper-midrange smartphone, potentially named Ace 5V or Ace 5S, as the successor to the Ace 3V released in March 2023. The device is rumored to feature a 6.83-inch "1.5K" LTPS OLED flat display with a 120Hz refresh rate and will be powered by MediaTek's upcoming Dimensity 9400+ chipset. It will include a 50MP main camera but no telephoto lens, with a "simple design" on the rear. The phone will also replace the Alert Slider with a new button.

Battery options are still under consideration, with possibilities including a 7,500mAh battery with 80W wired charging or a 7,000mAh battery with 100W charging support, reflecting a trade-off between capacity and charging speed. While the official launch date is unknown, it is expected to be announced soon, given the approaching one-year anniversary of its predecessor. This device aims to be a "flagship killer" with a focus on performance and competitive features.
