Copeland has inaugurated a cutting-edge Engineering and Technology Center in Pune, India, as part of a ₹500 crore investment to advance sustainable climate solutions. Spanning 15,000 square meters, the facility will house over 320 engineers specializing in R&D, software, and firmware development, supporting both local and global markets.
The center will focus on energy-efficient technologies, low-GWP and natural refrigerants, and sustainable cold chain solutions. With more than 15% of Copeland’s global engineering team based in India, the company aims to accelerate innovation in HVAC and refrigeration to meet rising global demand for eco-friendly solutions.
This investment reinforces Copeland’s three-decade-long presence in India and aligns with the country’s vision to become a global innovation hub. The facility will also support the expansion of Copeland’s manufacturing operations in Atit.
