Why is India’s Smartphone Manufacturing Growing? A key factor is India’s PLI (Production-Linked Incentive) scheme, which has encouraged global brands to expand local production. Companies are also shifting manufacturing to India to reduce dependence on a single country and benefit from a large market, affordable labor, and government support.

Future Outlook Experts predict India’s smartphone manufacturing will grow in double digits in 2025, with increased local production and value addition.
